  1. Pacific North West Says:

They are the only shoes that I buy as they accommodate my orthotics and they are very comfortable and supportive. I’m a “pronator” so these shoes help keep my feet aligned. They are not stylish or “cute”, but when you spend hours on your feet, cute doesn’t matter at the end of the day!

  2. Diane, Georgia Says:

I am very happy with this shoe. I’ve been wearing it about 3 weeks now, and don’t have any problems. It accommodates my bunion nicely. It is a very sturdy, supportive shoe, but doesn’t feel too heavy. The tongue does come right up against the front of my ankle as a previous reviewer noted, but it no longer bothers me. I ordered in wide, and it’s perfect. Recommended!

  3. Eastern North Carolina Says:

I’m pleased with this shoe. They are comfortable and look better than I thought they would. I got them in white and black. I’m so glad to find a place to buy shoes in my size. Stores don’t have my size. I’ve got a lot of foot problems. Zappos is like going to the candy store!

  4. Pena, Blanca Says:

The shoes are well made. I have plantar fasciitis and these are pretty comfortable. They are roomy enough for orthodics which I must wear and they have plenty of room in the toe box. I have a long, slender foot with a high arch and am hard to fit. These are great!

  5. Camano Island Says:

The Addiction Walker is my only shoe; I have major problems getting shoes that fit properly. This one fit the bill. It is comfortable, STABLE to walk in, and wears very well. Guess Joleta Sandals, I have orthotics and they fit into the shoes extremely well.

  6. Saratoga Says:

The best walking Guess Joleta shoes ever! I now have this shoe in black & white and my husband has a black pair as well. This is the most comfortable shoe we’ve ever had. We both wear them for work and for walking/exercising. I’d love to find something more stylish for casual wear that meets the criteria this shoe does. (Our chiropractor recommended Brooks Addictions because of the wide base and once the innersoles are removed and replaced w/ a flat innersole they are the best for your feet & back). Zappos– best customer service & faster than fast delivery!

  7. Fresno Says:

Today I am wearing this Joleta shoe in white for the first time. I wear an 11 N which is very hard to find. This shoe needed somewhat of a break in period, on receipt it was stiff. I had to replace the insole with a Spenco insert. After ordering and returning many athletic shoes from other catalog companies at my expense, I have finally found a shoe I can wear comfortably.

  8. Ellen Says:

Addictions are a life saver – I have had 2 foot surgeries in the past and found walking to be very painful. I went to so many shoe stores and tried on 100′s of shoes. I found the Addictions and have been sold ever since. I have moved to east Texas with no large stores around, and when I found Zappos on line it was the best find ever. Thank you so much for your help, I will be ordering from you again soon. Ellen D

  9. Deerfield Beach, Florida Says:

Heavy Clunkers – Second pair of Brooks shoes I return. They are too heavy and are really clunky. Would be too much to wear all day as an x-ray tech. Are well made and leather is soft but not for me and yes laces are too short. They do run narrow. I got a size larger and wide and they fit just right.

  10. Marilyn Says:

I really love walking in these shoes. I have Plantar Fasciitis and these shoes make walking pain free. I also have very narrow feet with high arches. It is a true pleasure to find shoes that fit and also feel good. I have previously only bought New Balance and these have now become one of my favorites. They are a bit masculine and heavy looking, but since fit and comfort are more important to me than looks, I really don’t mind.

  11. Montgomery Says:

Nice but not great – This is a good shoe if you do a great deal of walking. I walk on my treadmill an hour every day and these shoes were okay after they were completely broken in. They look terrible, however, very boxy and unattractive. I wear an 8WW and no matter how I lace them, they still slip slightly in the heel. A good shoe but not great enough to buy again.

  12. Maryliz Says:

My feet are happy again! My feet have reached the point where they require motion control shoes. Specifically, I’m looking for firm support right in the center of the arch. After very little modification, I find the arch support to be superb. I thought the supplied Brooks footbed was a bit low in the arch, so I took out the footbed and put in an off-the-shelf Dr. Scholl’s arch and heel support. Even though that leaves a lot of wiggle room around the toes, there is still plenty of firm support in the arch. (With most shoes, I usually have to compensate for lack of arch support by tying the shoe laces very tight.) I prefer all-black walking shoes, so that I can get away with wearing them when athletic shoes are not normally allowed. I like the pebbled finish of the leather.

  13. Quincy Says:

I’ve never spent a lot of money on an athletic shoe but based on the reviews, went ahead and ordered the Addition Walkers. Like another reviewer, the heels and balls of my feet hurt a great deal so I’m always on the lookout for something more comfortable. I wore these shoes for the first time today and have nothing but praise…there was NO breaking in period and my feet never hurt once being on concrete for a full shift. Money well worth spent. I’ve purchased 5 pairs of walking shoes in one year. Could not wear any of them longer than 2 hours without heel pain. These shoes are GREAT! I can wear them comfortably all day. I highly recommend them. Works for half-marathon – I bought these shoes to walk a half-marathon and they worked! I didn’t need to break them in (although I did) and they got me through the 13.1 miles in great shape. Very comfortable but kind of big and boxy looking – especially in white.

  14. Merri Says:

They are not my favorite work shoe :0( I am a pharmacy tech…fast-paced job with LOTS of standing, walking at a quick pace (to counter from inner pharmacy) and much pivoting to reach machines etc. to check out customers, meds on shelves, bottles etc., phones and intercom. I was looking for an EXTREMELY comfortable shoe and don’t have time to “break them in”…I need soft leather and a shoe that moves with me and supports all morning/day/evening (my shift starts at 10 in the morning and ends at 7 p.m)…so an “all-day” shoe that will still be comfy when my feet swell in the evening. This shoe just isn’t it…it wasn’t comfortable enough to even make it out of the house to wear to work and I will be returning them. I have stiff fingers/hands from arthritis and work-related repetitive motion injury and these shoes are hard to pull strings to lace up. Least of all, but still important: in person… these shoes are ugly. :0( I want comfy and cute…feminine…These are big clunkers.

  15. Teri, Pacific North West Says:

No more back pain! I’ve been suffering moderate to severe lower back pain for 2 years. I have wide square feet so I have to buy men’s shoes, usually K. Swiss or New Balance. After reading all the reviews on these shoes I got a pair in black. O My Gawd! To go a whole day without pain (that was the first day). It actually brought tears of joy as I realized my back hadn’t hurt all day. For the last week and a half I’ve been doing a ton of walking around a warehouse on cement floors — a week and a half without the searing back pains I would usually get. I cannot recommend these shoes enough. I will be getting a white pair shortly. These would be great for nurses, anyone on their feet a lot, and anyone with chronic back pain. Yee hah!! :o ) As for size, I can sometimes wear a ladies 10 WW, or a ladies 10.5 W or WW. I got these in 10.5WW and they were perfect, great support, room for the tootsies etc. (and yes, laces that are way short).
