  1. Cape May, New Jersey Says:

Terrific shoe for high arch - I tried this in a 9M based on terrific reviews from people who had back, knee and foot pain. When they came, I walked around in them and was amazed at how they fit my foot. I walked half an hour outside - twice as long as I’ve been able to walk in the recent past. I think that I should order a Wide next time so I don’t have to loosen the laces so far at the top to avoid rubbing my ankle bone. With a high arch, narrow heel and bunions, I’m hard to fit. A wide is often too wide and a medium not quite wide enough, usually in the toe area. This toe fits wonderfully - it’s just the top that I have to unlace as wide as it will go.

  2. Dian Says:

I work in a factory on concrete floors and I never go home with tired feet or sore feet. I buy 2 pair every 6 months and I am flying on those hard floors. Guess Carrie Pumps. I am 56 and work with a crane crew so I have to be quick and light on my feet. Thanks Brooks for making a shoe for me… Comfort is bliss.

  3. Colorado Says:

Going places- Am addicted to Brooks Addition shoes, have been wearing for four years… just got the black ones for “dress up” and love them. Great fit and same excellent support that keeps me walking in my other Brooks. I wish they came in purple, teal and silver… since these are the shoes of my life. I use orthodics and they work great with these Guess Carrie shoes.

  4. Gayle Says:

Comfort at last- I worked for years on my feet and by the time I reached retirement I had acquired aching feet. I tried a closet full of shoes with no relief. Then I purchased a pair of Walkers and enjoy life without pain. I would recommend these shoes to everyone who has foot problems. Brooks are attractive looking and people never know how happy your feet are.

  5. Brockton Says:

I had complete reconstructive surgery on my L foot in June. Waiting to have same surgery on R Foot. In the meantime buying shoes is a nightmare. I have a 2E width and have a very difficult time getting shoes to fit. The Walker is extremely comfortable. I got them to go on vacation. I did lots of walking and haven’t had a shoe this comfortable in years. I haven’t taken them off my feet since getting them. The arch support is excellent, and I have no aching feet after walking in them all day! I think they run a little big. I have been stopped twice by strangers as to where I got my Brooks Shoes? I was able to advertise for Zappos, I couldn’t stop raving about the company and how easy they make it to shop, what a fantastic web site they have and how quick shipments and credits are received. Thank you Zappos for such a superb on line shopping experience!

  6. Jane Says:

Not like the old style - I have worn the Walker since my foot surgery several years ago. This new style is pathetic. The design lacks style. My kids thought I needed to get a better looking shoe. The shoe looks cheap, lacks style and comfort and is a huge disappointment. I’ll never buy another Brooks shoe. I couldn’t even tell what material they are made from.

  7. Barabara Says:

The Best Shoe for People with Arthritis of the Feet- I have osteoarthritis on the tops of both of my feet. I also have bunions. I have never found anyone explaining about the type of arthritis that I have in my feet. It is actually OA of the small bones on top of the feet over the arch. These two medical conditions make it almost impossible for me to find a shoe to wear that will not cause my feet to hurt. I also have custom orthotics. In the past I have worn Soft Spot Marathon, SAS Life Style. Even with orthotics in these shoes, my feet still hurt so much that I can hardly walk. That has all changed since purchasing this shoe. Brooks Addiction Walker is a very stiff shoe that offers excellent arch support and is nice and roomy for my Guess orthotics as well as my bunions. From the first time I wore these shoes, I have been able to finally walk pain free. This does not mean that I can walk for miles, but I can do some average walking. I do not know if it is the firm support of the shoe or the good arch work, but what ever it is, I am so thankful for Zappos carrying it and for people’s reviews. It was because of some of the reviews that I ordered this particular Carrie shoe.

  8. Mary Says:

ust Right! I’ve worn Guess Carrie Pumps for years, until they expanded their line and started making a women’s walking shoe. This is my second pair of the women’s walking shoes and I love them. Buying them through Zappo was so easy, I had my shoes in about three days and they were perfect!

  9. Laura Says:

For my foot, these are the best walking shoes I’ve ever had. This is my second pair after I walked the soles of the last pair - in a good way. I have a narrow heel and these do not slip. Also, I like arch support and these are one of the best. Because of these shoes I even switched from Nike Air Pegasus running shoes to Brooks Radius 05. I’ve only used them 3 times but they have good arch support and cushioning in the forefoot if you’re also looking for a good, basic running shoe.

  10. Seattle Says:

True to size, great comfort. Transitioned into these from the Addiction running shoe so that I would have a shoe a bit more appropriate for work. They have the same comfort and fit as the running shoe, and I would recommend them to anyone. My doctor recommended this shoe to help my aching knees. They make me walk straighter and take the pressure of my knees. He wants me in them 95% of the time and the way they help I don’t want to wear anything else but Brooks.

  11. Barabara Says:

My feet used to hurt me all the time until I got a pair of Brooks from a local store. Then I could keep up with my husband. Being on a fixed income, I found Zappos.com on the net and have purchased 2 pair of Brooks from them. The only thing negative is the fact that I have narrow feet and the velcro closures on one pair don’t pull the shoe tight enough over my instep. The exercise book my daughter gave me listed the Brooks Addiction Walker first in selection what to wear with their program. I do, however, wear a different insert than what came in the shoe. 12. Karen Says:

Helps those aching feet- They walkers are quite comfortable. I wear orthotics and it is hard to find a shoe that can fit the orthotic in them and be comfortable too. I worked on my feet for years and these are my shoes of choice. I wish they offered something a little better looking to wear with casual dress.

  13. Marie Says:

When the body gets older, it also gives a larger shoe size. This sometimes doesn’t matter because if you’ve been wearing a size 10 for 30 years, who would think that a larger size would be better? Well, this happened to me. Hurting feet at the end of the day was normal. I ordered a size larger, and after wearing the footwear, I could have worn them to bed, they were that comfortable! Will order more in the future.

  14. South Dakota Says:

I needed a shoe with a wider base for stability and to handle my orthotics. After trying at least a dozen other shoes, I discovered the Brooks Walker. Very comfortable, no break-in time, gives me the stability I need has enough room to accomodate orthotics. I would recommend this to everyone.

  15. Judy Says:

This brand of shoes (Brooks) was recommended to me by my foot doctor who is affiliated with several Boston hospitals and has designed many of the shoes in which orthotics will fit comfortably. Brooks shoes work great for this purpose. This is my fourth pair. PS: The Zappos Shoe Company had them out to me in Texas in an extremely short time. I was amazed.
