Looks like a boat on my feet. I have no problem with this shoe’s comfort, as it feels better on my feet than any other shoe I have. I have lots of foot problems: arthritis, Neuroma’s, tendonitis, neuropathy, and I have had four foot surgeries on my right foot: surgery for three Neuroma’s, and a bunionectomy. I have to wear orthotics for flat feet. The orthotics fit well in this shoe, and I place them under the insole of the shoe and can wear them comfortably. However, this shoe looks sloppy on my feet, although it’s a 2A width.
This footwear fits me even better than the New Balance I have been wearing because the heel is narrower and doesn’t slip at all. Since I have a narrow (2A) foot these might not work for everyone. They are extremely comfortable and provide good lateral support. My orthotics work fine in these shoes too.
I really love these Guess Brooke shoes. I bought the white and they look great and feel wonderful. I have a bad pronation and the outside of my legs ached for a couple days and then I was fine. I will buy another pair when I need new ones. I usually wear Reebok trainers or Rockport walkers and these are far better
Laboratory tech in VA. I have runner’s knees due to poor arches. These Guess Brooke pump are the best I have found in my search for a work shoe that supports my arches and ankles for the eight and a half hours pounding on that hard floor of our hospital lab. I will be back for more when it is time to replace them. I have also recommended this site to co-workers. My knees and legs thank Brooks for this shoe.
Simply Perfect - I run 12 hours each night that I work and this shoe is perfect. Requires no break in time, just put it on and go. It is not the most attractive shoe that I have owned, but the comfort makes up for the look. Leg and back aches are gone with this Brooke shoe. I am on my 5th pair.
Good buy for the money. Comfortable, very sturdy - lives up to the expectations of the description given. Very pleased with the comfort, not to crazy about the design, but comfort is more important.
A Great Courier Shoe! Being on my feet for most of my day as a special delivery courier, this shoe is well worth the money. I’m finding my feet and ankles don’t tweak and twinge from every step up or down into my truck. These shoes are cushioned evenly and absorb a lot more than past walking shoes I’ve owned.
I have a pair in white and black (for work). I use my white ones for walking and exercising at Curves. I actually first heard of them in the Curves magazine when they were rated with other shoes.
So happy! This is a great walking Guess Brooke shoe/sneaker/pump! I did find it a ‘little’ tight at first (being used to wearing a cloth/leather style) but now they are just fine. They are comfortable and supportive. I wear orthodics so the support is very important to me. They look great! They go with everything, being all white! (Which only a woman can appreciate)…and several people have told me they make my feet look smaller!!! (Another thing only a woman can appreciate…wearing orthodics I have to order a ‘wide’ shoe and often they make my feet look well too big and wide. I am very happy with this purchase)!
Tried these because they were on a list from the Amer. Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine for Maximum Motion Control. I am a letter carrier who walks 4-6 hours just at work. Strong overpronator recovering from plantar fasciitis. Needed strong arch, maximum motion control, non-slip rubber sole. These felt great out of the box but even better with a molded plastic (like Walk-Fit) insert. Ended up buying both black for work and white for walking.
I’ve worn New Balance 857’s for years, and thought they were terrific. I needed something for colder weather, so tried NB 925’s, but by the end of the day my feet were tired - it seemed like I was walking around with a lot of shoe. The woman who fitted me with a custom orthotic recommended these. I didn’t think anyone made size 11.5 anymore! What a treat to find my correct size, instead of something too big. Once I wore the Brooks Addiction, I wondered how I ever wore anything else! They are so comfortable! And the irritation on the tops of my toes from the NB stitching is almost gone, because these are so cleanly made, without a lot of fancy stuff on the top. They look like a dressier shoe also, which I like. After a short time, I ordered another pair. Now I’m ordering the Brooks Ariel for summer, since it’s made on the same last.
I ordered these shoes and they arrived in two days! The reviews were excellent so my expectations were high. I was not disappointed. They fit well, even with my wide feet. They are comfortable to wear around the house all day long. They fit well enough for my frequent bike rides. No slippage. My orthotics fit very well inside them. It’s a pleasure to own them. I intend to have them for a very long time.
Diggin’ in - Have to agree with “Anonymous from Maine”. The tongue on this shoe is so high that it digs into the front of my ankle. Also, they seemed kind of big in the toe box. Really disappointed in them, but ready to try something else. Zappos is a great place to shop for those of us with hard-to-fit feet.
Not as good as the Addiction sneaker! I have a difficult foot to fit — very narrow heel and wider toe box requirements. I also have a neuroma and the Addiction sneaker was the only “shoe” I could wear for nearly a year. After three pair of wonderful Addiction sneakers, I ordered the leather Addiction to have a more all-weather shoe. There is no comparison to the sneaker — it is not as comfortable and no matter how snugly I tie the laces, the heel slips badly. They are also pretty ugly, but I wouldn’t mind if they really fit. Sorry Zappos, I’m sending them back.
