   Great for those on their feet all day long, like barbers. My female barber wears these Rockports too because they are so comfortable. She spends all day on her feet on a hard vinyl floor on top of a concrete slab. For her, they are a necessity. They have lasted me about 2 years per pair. The upper gets dirty and shiny due to my every weekday use and lack of care.

   My feet are saved! These shoes “rock”! I got these shoes for my student teaching and they worked wonderful - especially since I am on my feet all day. They are very durable, rugged, nice looking (when they are fairly new, that is) and you can even use them on easy-moderate hikes when the weather is nice. You can also easily clean the bottoms, which can be nice, especially if you step in gum (ICK!). I’m a nature photogrpaher as well and I love wearing them - they perform great outside and keep my feet warm.

   Love this shoe. I have been wearing this shoe in chocolate brown for about 3 1/2 years in the office and out in the field as a utility field engineer. I heard about this site in the USA Weekend section of Sunday’s paper and logged onto the web site for the first time today, because I want to buy another pair of this same exact shoe. Though my shoes are not worn out the outside of them is looking a little “tired” so I am going to replace them now and keep my originals for kicking around the house. There isn’t anything about these shoes I don’t like. In fact, I own the brown and black leather versions of it as well! That is all, over and out.

   best shoes ever owned. have been wearing this shoemost of the time for the last 2.5 years. walk 14 hours per day as a physician. the shoes are just starting to show sole wear. never replaced the laces or insole pad. originally bought for comfort. receive lots of shoe brand recognition and completements. all around comfort , looks and durability

   “It’s better to look good than to feel good”. Shoe is constructed like an athletic shoe with lots of adhesive and heat sealing to reduce cost. The saying “Its better to look good, than to feel good” really applies to this Rockport. Toe box tapers sharply, not enough room to be really comfortable in. The padded collar is soft, but after a while, begins to rub and give me hot spots. This Rockport is good to rotate with more expensive shoes during the week, or to travel in so your not concerned about excessive wear on your good shoes. Based on the construction methods, service life if questionable. Recommend a more robustly constructed shoe like a Timberland or a pair of Borns’.

   No nonsence. This pair of shoes are on thier way to being the best ever,it takes a little while for things to settle,but I,ve had these going on 3 weeks and they are tops in comfort and look pretty snappy with everything from jeans to casual wear a real winner. They tight! Man, these Rockports are so tight! I brought them when I bought this leather Ecko sweater. They look and feel alright. I like the way the leather feels. Rockport snapped when they made these!
   Got foot problems. If you have any foot, ankle, knee or hip problems. This shoe will be a pleasure to wear. It really helps propel the body. But, the older “Pro Walker” is even better (if you can find it). The new Pro Walkers are lighter and may not hold up. I’m on my feet about 9 hrs a day with no problems. They’re a bit oversized and handle orthotics very well.

   I had my right foot & ankle fused about 8 years ago. This shoe and an SAS model have been the only shoes I’ve tried that are comfortable and handle custom orthodics well. The Rockport is a much better looking shoe than the SAS and has been my shoe of choice for the past 3 years
